THE COONEY FAMILY FOUNDATION
OUR MISSION

The mission of the Cooney Family Foundation is to support and promote quality education, arts, and community programming. Reflecting the Cooney family’s Catholic faith and passion for lifelong learning and the arts, special consideration is given to charitable and educational organizations that help individuals become the best versions of themselves.

The Cooney Family Foundation was established in 2016 to help people and institutions to help themselves and future generations. The Foundation makes grants to qualified public entities or 501(c)(3) charities with a board or advisory group that is reflective of the population or community being served. The Foundation does not lend or grant money to individuals.
Grants are made in three categories:
EDUCATION
Gifts will be made in support of primary and secondary schools and institutions of higher education. Priority will be given to programs and special projects that enhance the student experience through the arts, service, athletics, and technology.
We support organizations that provide and promote creative education through the arts.
COMMUNITY, HEALTH, AND HUMAN WELFARE
A Cooney Family Foundation goal is to improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities. Consideration will be given to projects that improve the self-sufficiency of members of society, as well as to community-building initiatives that improve the well-being of citizens.
